Solid hardware, average app support
The sensor hardware itself is fantastic. The companion demo app is a bit basic, but since the goal is development, having raw data access via Bluetooth is exactly what I needed.

Good data quality, needs calibration
The PPG signal is very clean. However, you will need to spend some time calibrating the algorithm for accurate heart rate variability. Documentation could be slightly more detailed.

Perfect for wearable prototypes
This module integrated seamlessly with my ESP32 project. The Bluetooth connection is stable, and the SpO2 readings are consistent when compared to a medical-grade device. Great for development.

Accurate and responsive
I was surprised by how quickly it locks onto a pulse. The waveform visualization in the serial plotter is smooth. Perfect for testing new algorithms without building custom optics.

Works well but sensitive to motion
Great module for stationary testing. If there is significant motion artifact, the readings can drift. You definitely need to implement your own filtering logic for active use cases.
Q: Is there a Python library available for Raspberry Pi integration?
A: Yes, we provide a Python library specifically for Raspberry Pi that handles Bluetooth pairing and data parsing. It is available in our GitHub repository linked in the manual.
Q: What is the maximum wireless range for the Bluetooth connection?
A: In an open environment without obstacles, the Bluetooth 5.0 connection can reach up to 10 meters (approx. 33 feet). Walls and interference may reduce this range.
Q: Can this measure blood pressure?
A: No, this module is designed to measure Heart Rate, Blood Oxygen (SpO2), and Pulse Waveform. It does not calculate blood pressure values.
Q: Is this module suitable for clinical diagnostic use?
A: This product is intended for research, development, and prototyping purposes only. It is not certified for clinical diagnosis or medical treatment decisions.
Q: Does this module come with the finger clip sensor or just the board?
A: The kit includes both the main PCB development board and the attached finger clip sensor assembly ready for use.
