Works through thin plastic

Compact and reliable
Small form factor makes it easy to hide behind panels. I used these to replace mechanical buttons in a custom keyboard build, and they feel very modern.
Q: Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity?
A: Yes, there are solder pads on the back of the PCB labeled 'C' and 'A'. Adding a small capacitor to the 'C' pad increases sensitivity, while adding one to the 'A' pad decreases it.
Q: Does this module come with headers pre-soldered?
A: No, the module comes with a separate pin header strip to allow flexibility in mounting orientation. You will need to solder them yourself.
Q: What is the difference between TTP223 and TTP226?
A: The main difference lies in the output mode options. TTP223 is typically momentary, while TTP226 often supports toggle modes depending on the specific configuration pads selected on the PCB.
Q: Can this sensor detect touch through glass?
A: Yes, the capacitive sensor can detect touch through non-conductive materials like glass or plastic, provided the thickness does not exceed the sensing range (typically up to 5mm).
Q: Can I drive a relay directly with this output?
A: It is not recommended to drive high-power relays directly. The output current is limited to roughly 100mA. Please use a transistor or MOSFET driver circuit for higher load applications.
