Good value but needs calibration
The board works well, but I had to tweak the external capacitor values to get the sensitivity just right for my thick acrylic overlay. Once calibrated, it's very responsive.

Works but tricky for beginners
The hardware is fine, but finding the right library code took some time. Would be nice if there was a more detailed example sketch included in the package.

Reliable for industrial prototypes
We used this for a prototype control interface. It handles multiple touches without lag. The build quality of the PCB is solid too.

Excellent documentation support
I was worried about the wiring, but the pinout is clearly labeled. The I2C communication is stable, and I haven't experienced any false triggers yet. Great product.

Perfect for my custom control panel
This module worked flawlessly with my Arduino project. The sensitivity is great right out of the box, and detecting all 16 channels simultaneously was smooth. Highly recommended for DIY enthusiasts.

Fast shipping and great performance
Arrived quickly and was packaged securely. Tested all 16 pads immediately, and they all register touch instantly. Very happy with this purchase.
Q: Can I daisy-chain multiple modules together?
A: Yes, you can connect multiple modules via the I2C bus by ensuring each has a unique address configuration if supported, or by using different chip select lines for serial mode.
Q: Is the output logic level compatible with 3.3V microcontrollers?
A: Yes, since the operating voltage range is 2.4V to 5.5V, it is fully compatible with both 3.3V and 5V logic systems.
Q: Does this module support multi-touch functionality?
A: Yes, the TTP229 supports simultaneous detection on all 16 channels, allowing for full multi-touch capability.
Q: Does the package include the connecting wires?
A: No, the package typically includes only the PCB module. Header pins and connecting wires need to be purchased separately or sourced from your existing inventory.
Q: What is the maximum thickness of the overlay material this can detect through?
A: Generally, it can detect through up to 5mm of non-metallic material like glass or acrylic, though this depends on the specific dielectric constant and sensitivity calibration.
