Great value, minor documentation gaps
The hardware quality is excellent for the price. Transmission speeds are stable up to 500kbps. I wish the pinout diagram in the manual was slightly clearer, but online resources filled the gap.

A: Cable length depends on the baud rate. At 1Mbps, we recommend up to 40 meters. At lower speeds like 50kbps, you can extend up to 500 meters with proper shielding.
Q: Can I power this directly from a 5V USB source?
A: Yes, the module accepts a 5V input via the pin header. However, ensure your USB source can provide at least 100mA for stable operation under load.
Q: Is the source code for the STM32 firmware open?
A: The hardware is fully documented, but the internal bootloader firmware is proprietary. You do not need to modify it; you interact with the module via standard UART commands.
Q: Does it come with a DB9 connector attached?
A: The module includes a soldered DB9 female connector on the board, as well as unpopulated pin headers for custom wiring options.
Q: Does this module support CAN FD protocol?
