Great value, easy integration
The serial output works flawlessly with Arduino. Only giving 4 stars because the documentation could be slightly more detailed regarding the IIC address configuration.

Best ToF in this price range
Compared to other modules I've tested, this one offers the best balance of range, update rate, and interface flexibility. The 400F model reaches its max range reliably.

Good for educational kits
Students found it easy to wire up. The voltage tolerance is forgiving which is great for beginners. Wish it came with mounting brackets included.

Reliable altitude hold
Using the 200F model for drone altitude stabilization. It responds quickly and filters out noise well. Highly recommended for DIY drone builds.
Q: What happens if the target is too reflective?
A: Highly reflective surfaces may cause measurement errors or saturation. We suggest angling the sensor slightly or applying a matte tape to the target area for consistent readings.
Q: Does it support multiple sensors on the same IIC bus?
A: Yes, you can connect multiple sensors to the same IIC bus by configuring unique IIC addresses for each unit using the provided configuration software or serial commands.
Q: What is the default baud rate for the serial mode?
A: The default baud rate is typically 115200 bps, but it can be configured via command to other standard rates such as 9600 or 57600 depending on your microcontroller setup.
Q: Can this sensor measure through glass?
A: No, ToF laser sensors generally cannot measure distance through transparent materials like glass as the laser beam passes through rather than reflecting back. It works best on opaque surfaces.
Q: Is this module waterproof for outdoor use?
A: The standard module is not waterproof. For outdoor applications, we recommend installing it inside a protective enclosure with a clear window for the laser aperture.
