Perfect for DIY Neuroscience Projects
This module works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The signal quality is surprisingly good for the price point. I was able to visualize raw brainwaves in the serial plotter within an hour of unboxing.

Solid value for money
For a university project on brain-computer interfaces, this was the perfect budget solution. The library support for Arduino is extensive, making the coding part much easier than anticipated.

Fast shipping and well packaged

Good for learning, limited range
It's a great educational tool to understand EEG basics. However, don't expect medical-grade precision. It picks up a lot of noise if you move your head too much, which is expected for a single-channel consumer sensor.

Great hardware, needs patience for calibration
The sensor itself is robust and the documentation is decent. It took me a few tries to get the electrode placement right for stable readings, but once calibrated, the attention and meditation metrics are consistent.

Excellent integration with STM32
I used this with an STM32 Blue Pill board. The UART communication is straightforward. No drivers needed, just direct serial connection. Highly recommended for embedded systems developers.
Q: Is there a Python library available for reading data on a Raspberry Pi?
A: While we do not provide an official Python library, the community has developed several open-source packages available on GitHub that utilize the serial port to read TGAM data streams on Raspberry Pi.
Q: Does this module come with electrodes or do I need to buy them separately?
A: The module includes a clip-style electrode holder, but you will need to purchase standard 3.5mm jack EEG electrodes or create your own conductive pad setup depending on your specific application needs.
Q: Does this measure heart rate as well or only brainwaves?
A: This sensor is designed specifically for EEG (brainwave) acquisition. It does not measure heart rate or ECG signals; you would need a dedicated pulse sensor for cardiac monitoring.
Q: What is the effective wireless range if I want to make it Bluetooth enabled?
A: This specific module is wired only. To make it wireless, you would need to pair it with a separate Bluetooth module (like HC-05 or BLE). The range would then depend on the Bluetooth module you choose, typically around 10 meters.
Q: Can I connect this directly to a 5V Arduino Nano without a logic level converter?
A: Yes, the TGAM module operates comfortably within the 3.3V to 5V range, so you can connect the TX/RX pins directly to your 5V Arduino Nano without needing a level shifter.
