Works well but needs careful wiring
The sensor functions perfectly once wired correctly. Make sure to double-check your VCC and GND connections. The sensitivity adjustment screw is a nice touch for fine-tuning thresholds.

Good value, easy to calibrate
Great little module for the price. Calibration was straightforward using the onboard potentiometer. Only giving 4 stars because the probe coating could be slightly more durable for long-term outdoor use.

Perfect for my Arduino robot car project
This sensor works exactly as described. I integrated it into my smart robot car to detect wet surfaces, and the digital output is very responsive. The analog pin also allows for precise moisture level reading in soil tests.

Q: Can this sensor be used directly with a 5V Arduino Uno?
A: Yes, this module operates within the 3.3V to 5V range, so it is fully compatible with the Arduino Uno without needing a logic level converter.
Q: Can I use this to detect water leaks on a floor?
A: Yes, while designed for soil, the conductivity principle works for detecting standing water on floors or in trays for leak detection systems.
Q: Is the probe resistant to corrosion over time?
A: The probes have a nickel plating to improve conductivity and reduce corrosion, but for long-term permanent installation in soil, we recommend applying a conformal coating or checking them periodically.
Q: What is the difference between the DO and AO pins?
A: The DO (Digital Output) pin provides a simple HIGH/LOW signal based on a threshold you set with the potentiometer. The AO (Analog Output) pin provides a continuous voltage value proportional to the moisture level.
Q: Does this come with jumper wires?
A: The package includes the sensor module only. Jumper wires are not included, but standard 3-pin Dupont wires will fit the connector perfectly.
