Great for learning embedded systems
Used this for my university project on capacitive sensing. The documentation online is plentiful, and the module itself is very stable.

Reliable and responsive
I bought five of these for a home automation panel. All of them worked immediately out of the box. The momentary mode is perfect for button replacements.

Good value, small footprint
Compact size makes it ideal for tight spaces in my custom keyboard build. Only giving 4 stars because the solder pads are a bit tiny for beginners.

Works well but sensitive to noise
Functionality is solid, but I had to add a small capacitor to filter out some noise when running long wires. Once fixed, it works perfectly.

Exceeded expectations
Super cheap and does exactly what it says. I replaced mechanical buttons on my lamp with these, and it looks so much cleaner now.

Perfect for DIY projects
This sensor works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The sensitivity is great, and it detects touch even through a thin plastic case. Very easy to wire up.
Q: Is this compatible with 5V logic levels?
A: Absolutely. The module operates between 2.0V and 5.5V, making it fully compatible with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers like Arduino and ESP8266.
Q: Does this come with header pins included?
A: No, the module is sold without header pins to keep shipping costs low and allow flexibility for surface mount or direct wire soldering. Headers are sold separately.
Q: What is the maximum current the output pin can source?
A: The output pin is designed for logic signaling and should not drive high-current loads directly. We recommend using it to trigger a transistor or relay for loads exceeding 20mA.
Q: Can this module work if I cover the touch pad with 2mm of glass?
A: Yes, the TTP223 can typically detect touch through up to 3-5mm of non-metallic material like glass or plastic, though sensitivity may decrease slightly.
Q: How do I switch from momentary mode to toggle mode?
A: There is a solder jumper on the back of the PCB labeled 'A'. By default, it is open for momentary mode. Soldering it closed will switch the module to toggle mode.
