Great sensor, minor setup curve
Hardware quality is top-notch. It took a little while to calibrate the magnetometer correctly in our specific environment, but once done, the heading lock is solid.

Excellent precision and documentation
We tested this against a much more expensive tactical grade IMU and the results were surprisingly close for the price point. The driver package on GitHub is well maintained.

Reliable for outdoor agricultural robots

Best value for university projects
Bought this for my master's thesis on SLAM. The 1000Hz update rate allows for very tight control loops. Support team was helpful when I had questions about the UART protocol.

Solid performance in factory settings
Deployed on several AMRs in our warehouse. Noise levels are low, and the form factor fits easily into compact chassis. Would give 5 stars if the cable was slightly longer.

A: Yes, we provide open-source drivers compatible with ROS 2 Foxy and Humble distributions, available on our official GitHub repository.
Q: Does it support external GNSS integration for tighter coupling?
A: Yes, the firmware supports external GNSS data input via UART for loosely coupled integration. For tightly coupled solutions, please contact our engineering team for custom firmware options.
Q: What is the power consumption at 500Hz?
A: At 500Hz update rate with all sensors active, the typical current consumption is approximately 45mA at 3.3V.
Q: Can I change the output frequency via software commands?
A: Absolutely. You can configure the output frequency from 10Hz up to 1000Hz using our configuration tool or by sending specific UART commands.
Q: Is the magnetometer calibrated out of the box?
A: The sensor undergoes factory calibration, but we strongly recommend performing a hard-iron and soft-iron calibration in your specific deployment environment for optimal heading accuracy.
