Reliable for plant monitoring
Using three of these in my automated greenhouse setup. They have been running for months without drift or failure. The humidity reading helps me control the misters perfectly.

Perfect for my weather station project
This DHT22 module works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The readings are consistent and much more stable than the cheaper DHT11 sensors I used previously. The breakout board makes wiring incredibly easy.

Solid performance
Works well with ESP32 as well. Just ensure you have a pull-up resistor if your specific board doesn't include one, though this Risym module seems to have the necessary components onboard.

Easy to use for beginners
I am new to electronics and this was very plug-and-play. The pins are clearly labeled, and there are plenty of libraries available online to get started immediately. Highly recommended for students.

Great upgrade from DHT11
The extra precision over the DHT11 is noticeable, especially in the humidity readings. The build quality of the PCB is good, and the soldering points are clean. Will buy again.

Good accuracy, slow sampling
The sensor is accurate as advertised, but remember it only updates every 2 seconds. This is fine for most environmental monitoring tasks, but don't expect real-time rapid changes. Great value for the price.
Q: How fast does the sensor update data?
A: The DHT22 has a sampling rate of 0.5Hz, meaning it provides a new reading every 2 seconds. Attempting to read data faster than this may result in null values or errors.
Q: Is this compatible with 5V logic levels?
A: Absolutely. The module operates within a voltage range of 3.3V to 6V, making it fully compatible with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers like the Arduino Uno and Raspberry Pi.
Q: Can I use this sensor outdoors?
A: While the sensor itself can measure outdoor temperatures, the PCB and components are not waterproof. You must house it in a weatherproof enclosure with ventilation to protect it from rain and direct moisture.
Q: Does this module come with a pull-up resistor installed?
A: Yes, the Risym DHT22 expansion board includes the necessary 10k pull-up resistor onboard, so you can connect it directly to your microcontroller without additional components.
Q: What is the difference between this DHT22 and the DHT11?
A: The DHT22 offers higher accuracy and a wider operating range. It measures temperature from -40°C to 80°C and humidity from 0-100% with ±0.5°C and ±2% accuracy, whereas the DHT11 has a narrower range and lower precision.
