Perfect for my Arduino project
This sensor module works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The sensitivity adjustment via the potentiometer is very precise, allowing me to set the exact light threshold needed for my automatic night light project.

Reliable and consistent
I bought ten of these for a classroom workshop. All units performed consistently without any dead-on-arrival issues. The LM393 comparator provides a clean digital signal which is great for beginners.

Small footprint, big performance
The size is compact enough to fit into tight enclosures. I used it to trigger a relay when ambient light drops below a certain level. The response time is immediate and there is no noticeable lag.

Exceeded expectations
Very robust little module. I accidentally reversed the polarity briefly, and it still works fine. The blue PCB looks professional and the silk screening is clear and easy to read.

Good analog output range
Using the analog output gives a nice range of values depending on the lighting conditions. It's not just on/off. The only minor issue is that the soldering pads are slightly small for thick wires.

Great value, clear instructions needed
The hardware quality is excellent for the price. It took me a moment to figure out the difference between the DO and AO pins, but once connected correctly, it detects brightness changes instantly. Would recommend watching a tutorial first.
Q: What is the difference between the DO and AO pins?
A: DO (Digital Output) provides a high or low signal based on whether the light intensity crosses your adjusted threshold. AO (Analog Output) provides a variable voltage proportional to the current light intensity.
Q: How do I adjust the sensitivity?
A: Use the small blue potentiometer on the board. Turn it clockwise to increase sensitivity (trigger in darker conditions) or counter-clockwise to decrease it. Test with a multimeter or serial monitor while adjusting.
Q: Does this work with 3.3V logic boards like the ESP8266?
A: Absolutely. Since the operating voltage range includes 3.3V, it is fully compatible with ESP8266, ESP32, and other 3.3V logic microcontrollers.
Q: Can this module be powered directly by a 12V source?
A: No, this specific module is designed for DC 3.3V to 5V operation. Connecting it directly to 12V may damage the components. Please use a voltage regulator if your main supply is 12V.
Q: Is the mounting hole size standard for M3 screws?
