Excellent for educational kits
We bought ten of these for our robotics workshop. Students found them easy to program, and the response time is impressive. No issues so far after weeks of heavy use.

Good sensitivity, needs calibration
The module detects gestures well, but I had to adjust the distance slightly to avoid false positives. Once calibrated, it performs consistently. Great value for the price.

Best gesture sensor in this price range
I have tested several modules, and the PAJ7620U2 offers the best balance of speed and accuracy. The documentation is clear, and support was helpful when I had questions.

Compact and powerful
Small form factor fits perfectly into tight enclosures. The I2C interface saves GPIO pins on my microcontroller. Detection of the wave gesture is particularly reliable.

Solid performance
Works as advertised. The only minor issue is that bright ambient light can occasionally interfere, but shielding the sensor solved it immediately. Overall a great purchase.

Perfect for my smart home project
This sensor works flawlessly with my Arduino setup. The gesture recognition is accurate and the library provided makes integration very simple. Highly recommended for DIY enthusiasts.
Q: Does this module work with 5V logic levels directly?
A: Yes, the PAJ7620U2 supports an operating voltage range of 3.3V to 5V, making it compatible with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers without needing a level shifter.
Q: Can I detect multiple gestures simultaneously?
A: The sensor processes gestures sequentially. It is designed to recognize one distinct gesture at a time to ensure accuracy and prevent command conflicts.
Q: What is the maximum detection distance for the 'Forward' gesture?
A: The optimal detection range is between 5cm and 15cm. While it may detect movements up to 20cm under ideal lighting conditions, reliability decreases beyond 15cm.
Q: Is there a Python library available for Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, there are several open-source Python libraries available on GitHub specifically for interfacing this sensor with Raspberry Pi via the I2C bus.
Q: Does the module come with a connector cable?
A: The standard package includes the sensor module and a set of header pins. Cables are usually sold separately, but many users utilize standard Dupont jumper wires.
