Perfect for my aquarium project
This sensor works flawlessly through the glass of my aquarium. No need to drill holes or risk leaks. The sensitivity adjustment potentiometer makes it easy to calibrate.

Good value, needs calibration
Works well once you tune the sensitivity screw. Initially, it was a bit too sensitive, but after adjusting, it detects water levels accurately every time.

Simple and effective
As a beginner, I found this very easy to use. The green LED gives clear visual feedback. Just make sure your container isn't metal.

Reliable non-contact detection
Impressed by how well it penetrates thick plastic containers. Much better than the conductive probes that corrode over time.
Q: Does it work with corrosive liquids like acid?
A: Yes, since it is non-contact, the sensor does not touch the liquid. As long as the container material is resistant to the acid, the sensor will function correctly.
Q: What is the maximum wall thickness it can detect through?
A: Generally, it can detect through walls up to 10mm thick, depending on the material density and the liquid type. You may need to adjust the sensitivity potentiometer for thicker walls.
Q: How do I adjust the sensitivity?
A: There is a small blue potentiometer on the board. Use a small screwdriver to turn it clockwise to increase sensitivity or counter-clockwise to decrease it while testing with your specific setup.
Q: Can this sensor detect liquid levels through a metal tank?
A: No, this is a capacitive sensor and cannot penetrate metal containers. It works best with non-metallic materials like glass, plastic, or ceramic.
Q: Is this module waterproof?
A: The sensing area is conformal coated and resistant to splashes, but the entire module is not submersible. Only the detection face should be near the liquid.
