Smooth operation
No jitter in the readings even at high rotation speeds. The module is compact and fits easily into tight spaces. Excellent alternative to the more expensive brands.

Good value sensor
Works as advertised. The ABZ output simulation is a nice feature for legacy systems. Had to tweak the pull-up resistors slightly for my specific board, but that's standard procedure.

Great precision for the price
The 14-bit resolution is more than enough for my robotic arm project. Setup was easy using the I2C interface. Only giving 4 stars because the included magnet could be slightly stronger for larger air gaps.

Perfect AS5600 Replacement
I needed a replacement for the AS5600 which has been hard to find lately. This MT6701 module works flawlessly with my existing firmware. The SPI communication is stable and the angle readings are smooth.

Easy to integrate
Documentation was clear enough to get started quickly. The PWM output mode is very convenient for connecting directly to microcontrollers without complex libraries. Highly recommended for hobbyists.

Reliable industrial performance
We tested this in a prototype motor controller and it held up well under vibration and varying temperatures. The latency is low enough for real-time control loops. Will order more for production.
Q: Is this module compatible with Arduino Uno?
A: Yes, the MT6701 module operates at 3.3V-5V and supports I2C and SPI, making it fully compatible with Arduino Uno. You may need a logic level converter if your specific setup requires strict 3.3V signaling.
Q: What is the maximum air gap allowed between the sensor and the magnet?
A: For optimal accuracy, we recommend an air gap of less than 2mm. The sensor can function up to 4mm, but resolution and linearity may decrease as the gap increases.
Q: Can I use this for measuring RPM of a motor?
A: Absolutely. By reading the angle changes over time via SPI or I2C, or by counting pulses in ABZ mode, you can accurately calculate the RPM of a motor shaft.
Q: How do I switch between SPI and I2C modes?
A: The mode is selected via the configuration pins on the module. Please refer to the datasheet pinout diagram included in the download link on the product page for specific wiring instructions.
Q: Does the package include the magnet required for operation?
A: Yes, each package includes one diametrically magnetized neodymium magnet specifically calibrated for use with the MT6701 sensor.
