Reliable replacement part

Easy integration with Raspberry Pi

Good sensor, needs careful wiring
The MPU-9255 itself is excellent. However, ensure you check the voltage levels on your microcontroller before connecting. I initially had some noise issues until I added proper decoupling capacitors. Once sorted, it performs very well.

Solid performance for the cost
We bought ten of these for our workshop. Eight worked perfectly out of the box. One had a slightly noisy magnetometer, but it was manageable with software filtering. Overall, a reliable batch for educational use.

Perfect for my DIY drone project
This sensor module works flawlessly with my Arduino setup. The data from the gyroscope and accelerometer is stable, and the magnetometer calibration was straightforward using standard libraries. Great value for the price.
Q: How do I handle magnetic interference?
A: For best results, keep the sensor away from large motors, batteries, or steel frames. Performing a hard-iron and soft-iron calibration in your final assembly environment is highly recommended to correct local interference.
Q: Does this come with example code for calibration?
A: The package contains the hardware module only. However, there are many open-source libraries available for Arduino and ESP32 that include calibration examples for the MPU-9255.
Q: What is the difference between this and the MPU-6050?
A: The main difference is that the MPU-9255 includes a built-in AK8963 magnetometer (compass), providing 9-axis data, whereas the MPU-6050 only provides 6-axis data (accelerometer + gyroscope).
Q: Is this module compatible with 5V Arduino boards?
A: Yes, the GY-9255 module typically includes a voltage regulator, making it safe to use with both 3.3V and 5V logic systems like the Arduino Uno.
Q: Can I use SPI instead of I2C?
