Excellent for student projects
We used these in our robotics club for obstacle avoidance and presence detection. They are robust and handle voltage fluctuations well. Highly recommended for educational use.

Good sensitivity, easy to wire
Great little sensor for the price. It picked up motion through a thin wooden door which was surprising. Just make sure you have a stable 5V power supply to avoid false triggers.

Perfect for DIY Security Projects
This HB100 module works exactly as described. I integrated it into my home automation system and the detection range is impressive for such a small component. Very stable signal output.

Works well but needs calibration
The sensor is very sensitive, perhaps too much so out of the box. Once I added a small capacitor to smooth the output, it worked perfectly for my automatic light switch project.

Professional grade performance

Reliable and Compact
I bought five of these for different rooms. They are tiny but powerful. The 10.525GHz frequency seems to penetrate obstacles better than my old PIR sensors.
Q: Can I use this outdoors?
A: The module itself is not weatherproof. You must house it in an IP-rated enclosure if you plan to use it outdoors.
Q: Does this come with a lens or housing?
A: No, this is a bare PCB module intended for integration into custom enclosures or existing electronic projects.
Q: Can this sensor detect motion through glass or plastic?
A: Yes, microwave radar signals can generally penetrate non-metallic materials like glass, plastic, and wood, allowing for hidden installation.
Q: What is the maximum voltage this module can handle without damage?
A: The recommended operating voltage is 4.5V to 5.5V. Exceeding 6V may permanently damage the internal circuitry.
Q: Is the output analog or digital?
A: The HB100 provides a digital TTL level output (High when motion is detected, Low when idle).
