Good value, slight heat
Great little sensor for the price. It gets slightly warm after running for an hour, but nothing concerning. Works perfectly with the Raspberry Pi GPIO pins.

Bright and reliable
The red dot is very visible even in moderately lit rooms. I've tested it on three different projects and it hasn't failed once. Solid build quality.

Great for teaching kids
Bought this for a weekend coding workshop. The kids loved seeing the laser react to their code. Just remember to teach safety regarding eyes!

Compact and efficient
Small form factor fits easily into tight enclosures. Low power consumption is a huge plus for battery-operated projects. Will buy again.
Q: Can this module be powered directly from a 3.3V pin?
A: While it might emit a dim light at 3.3V, this module is designed for optimal performance at 5V. We recommend using a 5V power source for consistent brightness.
Q: What is the maximum continuous operating time?
A: The module can operate continuously for several hours. However, for longevity, we suggest giving it a short break every 2-3 hours if used in a confined space without airflow.
Q: Are the jumper wires included male-to-female or male-to-male?
A: The package includes male-to-female jumper wires, which are perfect for connecting directly to most breadboards and microcontroller headers.
Q: Is the laser safe for use around pets?
A: This is a Class 2 laser product. While generally safe for brief accidental exposure, you should avoid shining it directly into the eyes of humans or animals for extended periods.
Q: Does this come with example code for Arduino?
A: Yes, you can find basic example sketches in the 'Examples' folder under the standard digital output library in the Arduino IDE, as this functions as a simple digital high/low device.
