Easy to integrate

As a beginner, I was worried about wiring this up, but the pinout is standard and easy to understand. The LEDs provide clear visual feedback which helps during debugging. Works great with Raspberry Pi GPIO.

Reliable non-contact detection

I've tested this with various metals including aluminum and copper, and it detects all of them consistently. The response time is fast enough for my sorting machine application. Great product.

Good value but needs calibration

The module is compact and well-built. It took a little trial and error to get the detection range right for small screws, but once tuned, it is very reliable. Just make sure you have a stable 5V power supply.

Solid performance for the price

Used four of these on a mobile robot for obstacle avoidance involving metallic objects. They are consistent and haven't failed yet. The only downside is the included wires are a bit short, but that's minor.

Exceeded expectations

Very sensitive and accurate. I was able to detect a coin through a thin layer of wood, which was surprising. The build quality feels durable. Will definitely buy more for future projects.

Perfect for my Arduino project

This sensor works exactly as described. I used it to detect metal parts on a conveyor belt prototype, and the sensitivity adjustment potentiometer made it very easy to calibrate. Highly recommended for hobbyists.
