Good module, tray assembly tricky
The sensor module works flawlessly. My only complaint is that the screws for the tray frame were slightly too long for the pre-drilled holes, requiring some careful filing. Once assembled, it holds up well.

Great value, instructions could be better
The hardware quality is excellent for the price. The load cell is accurate and the tray fits well. However, the printed manual was a bit vague on wiring diagrams. I had to look up a tutorial online to get started.

Solid starter kit
As someone new to electronics, this kit had everything I needed. It took me about an hour to set up, but seeing the weight display on my serial monitor was very rewarding. Would buy again for future projects.

Essential component for IoT scales
Used this to build a Wi-Fi enabled pet feeder scale. The low power consumption mode is a lifesaver for battery-operated projects. The 24-bit resolution provides plenty of detail for small weight changes.

Perfect for Arduino Projects
This kit made building a digital scale incredibly easy. The HX711 module connected seamlessly to my Arduino Uno, and the included library worked without any modifications. The frame is sturdy enough for a kitchen scale project.

Accurate and Stable Readings
I tested this against a professional lab scale and the readings were within 1 gram for a 5kg load. The noise filtering on the HX711 chip is impressive. Highly recommended for precision DIY weighing.
Q: Do I need to solder anything to get this working?
A: No soldering is required if you use the provided jumper wires and a breadboard. However, for a permanent installation, soldering the connections is recommended for better durability.
Q: Does this kit come with the necessary wires to connect to an Arduino?
A: Yes, the kit includes a set of jumper wires compatible with standard breadboards and Arduino headers.
Q: What is the accuracy tolerance of the sensor?
A: The HX711 module itself has high precision, but the overall system accuracy depends on the specific load cell used. Typically, you can expect an error margin of less than 0.1% of full scale under stable conditions.
Q: Can I use a 40kg load cell with the included frame?
A: The frame included in the standard kit is optimized for 5kg to 20kg cells. For a 40kg cell, we recommend purchasing the heavy-duty frame upgrade separately to ensure structural integrity.
Q: Is there a Python library available for Raspberry Pi?
A: Absolutely. There are several open-source Python libraries like 'hx711' available on PyPI that work perfectly with Raspberry Pi GPIO pins.
