Good precision, requires calibration
As expected with any load cell amplifier, you need to spend time calibrating it for your specific load cell. Once calibrated, the precision is amazing. Documentation could be more detailed.

Perfect for DIY Scale Projects
This HX711 module works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The 24-bit resolution provides incredibly stable readings for my kitchen scale project. Setup was straightforward using the standard library.

Great value, minor wiring confusion
The sensor itself is excellent and very sensitive. I deducted one star because the pin labeling on the board is slightly small, making it hard to read without a magnifier. Otherwise, performance is top-notch.

Compact and Powerful
I needed something small for a wearable pressure sensor prototype. This module fits perfectly and the data output is consistent. Highly recommended for embedded systems.

Reliable for student projects
We bought ten of these for our robotics club. Every single unit worked out of the box. The noise cancellation is impressive even in a busy workshop environment.
Q: How many wires do I need to connect to the microcontroller?
A: You typically need four connections: VCC, GND, Data (DT), and Clock (CLK). Some setups may also use the RATE pin if you need to switch sampling speeds dynamically.
Q: Does this come with a load cell included?
A: No, this listing is for the HX711 amplifier module only. You will need to purchase a compatible strain gauge or load cell separately.
Q: Is there a library available for Python/Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, there are several open-source Python libraries available on GitHub specifically designed to interface the HX711 with Raspberry Pi GPIO pins.
Q: What is the maximum update rate for this sensor?
A: The module offers two selectable output rates: 10 samples per second (SPS) for higher resolution or 80 SPS for faster response times, controlled by the RATE pin.
Q: Can this module work with a 3.3V microcontroller like the ESP32?
A: Yes, the HX711 operates between 2.6V and 5.5V, so it is fully compatible with 3.3V logic levels found on ESP32 and similar boards.
