Great value, minor noise issues
For the price, this is an unbeatable ADC for load cells. I did experience some electrical noise when running it near a motor, but adding a simple capacitor filter solved the problem immediately. Highly recommended for hobbyists.

Easy to integrate
I was worried about the coding part, but there are plenty of examples online. The module connected instantly to my ESP32. The precision is impressive for such a small board. Will definitely buy more for future projects.

Best budget ADC sensor
As a student on a budget, this module is a lifesaver. It provides high-resolution data without breaking the bank. Documentation is clear enough to get started quickly. Very satisfied with the purchase.

Solid performance for prototyping
Used this for a prototype weighing system. It performed consistently over several days of testing. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the pin headers were slightly loose on one unit, but easy to solder tight.

Perfect for DIY Scale Projects
This HX711 module works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The wiring is straightforward, and the library support is excellent. I built a small kitchen scale in under an hour, and the readings are stable and accurate.

Reliable and Compact
We use these modules in our university lab for student projects. They are robust, compact, and handle the 24-bit conversion very well. The ability to switch between 10Hz and 80Hz sampling rates is a nice touch for different applications.
Q: Does this module come with the load cell included?
A: No, this listing is for the HX711 amplifier module only. You will need to purchase a compatible load cell separately based on your weight capacity requirements.
Q: How many wires does the load cell connection require?
A: Most standard load cells have 4 wires (Red, Black, White, Green). The HX711 has labeled terminals (E+, E-, A+, A-) to accommodate these. Some 6-wire load cells can also be used by leaving the sense wires unconnected or tying them to power/ground.
Q: Can I use this with a 3.3V microcontroller like the ESP32?
A: Yes, the HX711 operates within a voltage range of 4.8V to 5.5V, but its digital output pins are generally compatible with 3.3V logic levels. Many users successfully interface it directly with ESP32 and Raspberry Pi GPIO pins.
Q: What is the maximum update rate for this sensor?
A: The module offers two selectable output data rates: 10Hz (for higher resolution) and 80Hz (for faster updates). You can switch between these modes via the code you upload to your microcontroller.
Q: Is there a specific library required for Arduino?
A: While you can write your own driver, we recommend using the popular 'HX711' library by bogde available in the Arduino Library Manager. It simplifies calibration and reading values significantly.
