Robust build quality
We used these in a batch of commercial access panels. They have held up well under frequent use. The capacitive surface is durable and easy to clean, which is essential for high-traffic areas.

Excellent value for money
For the price point, the accuracy is impressive. I tested it with multiple users and the false rejection rate was negligible. The compact size fits perfectly behind standard lock faceplates.

Perfect for custom door lock projects
Integrated this module into a smart home prototype. The capacitive touch response is instant and the UART documentation made integration straightforward. Highly recommended for DIY security systems.

Good SDK support
The provided library for microcontrollers saved us a lot of development time. Recognition speed is consistent. Would give 5 stars if the sample code had more comments for beginners.

Fast and secure
Replaced an old keypad system with this fingerprint module. The unlock time is significantly faster, and users love the convenience. No issues with spoofing attempts during our internal testing.

Reliable but needs careful calibration
The sensor works great once calibrated correctly. It handles dry fingers better than optical sensors I've used before. Deducting one star because the initial setup required some trial and error with sensitivity settings.
Q: How do I reset the module to factory settings?
A: To reset the module, send the specific 'Factory Reset' command via the UART interface as detailed in section 4.2 of the technical reference manual. This will clear all stored fingerprint templates.
Q: Can I store more than 100 fingerprints?
A: The onboard storage capacity is limited to 100 fingerprint templates. For applications requiring larger databases, you would need to manage template storage externally on a connected host system.
Q: Does this module support wet finger recognition?
A: While the capacitive sensor performs well in various conditions, performance may decrease significantly with very wet or dirty fingers. We recommend ensuring the finger surface is relatively dry for optimal speed and accuracy.
Q: What microcontrollers are compatible with the ZW0906?
A: The module communicates via UART or USB, making it compatible with most standard microcontrollers including Arduino, ESP32, STM32, and Raspberry Pi, provided you have the appropriate voltage level shifting if needed.
Q: Is there a warranty included with this sensor?
A: Yes, all Hi-Link semiconductor modules come with a standard 12-month manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating conditions.
