Good value but needs careful wiring
The sensor works well once connected properly. Make sure your logic levels match, as it runs on 3.3V. Once set up, the accuracy is quite good for the price point.

Reliable and Compact

Exceeded expectations
For a capacitive sensor at this price, the false rejection rate is very low. It even works reasonably well with slightly dry fingers after adjusting the sensitivity settings.
Q: Can this sensor work through glass?
A: No, this is a capacitive sensor and requires direct skin contact. It will not function if covered by glass or thick plastic.
Q: Does this module support USB direct connection to a PC?
A: Yes, the HLK-ZW101 supports both UART and USB interfaces. You can connect it directly to a PC via USB for configuration and testing.
Q: What is the maximum number of fingerprints I can store?
A: The module can store up to 150 fingerprint templates in its internal memory.
Q: Is there an SDK available for Arduino?
A: Yes, we provide a library compatible with Arduino IDE. You can download it from our official GitHub repository linked in the product manual.
Q: What happens if power is lost? Are fingerprints saved?
A: Yes, the stored fingerprint templates are saved in non-volatile memory, so they will remain intact even if the power is disconnected.
