Easy to wire
I was worried about wiring this incorrectly, but the pins are clearly labeled VCC, OUT, and GND. It lit up my LED strip immediately upon detecting motion. Highly recommended for starters.

Perfect for Arduino Projects
This sensor works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The detection range is accurate, and the delay adjustment potentiometer makes it very versatile for different lighting projects.

Bulk buy for our workshop

Works well indoors only
The sensor is sensitive to direct sunlight and temperature fluctuations, so it's not ideal for outdoor use without a proper housing. Inside my garage, however, it performs perfectly.

Great value but needs calibration
For the price, you can't beat it. It took a little trial and error to get the sensitivity right so it doesn't trigger on pets, but once set up, it has been reliable for my hallway light.

Solid performance
The build quality is decent for a budget component. The Fresnel lens is securely attached. My only minor complaint is that the mounting holes are a bit small for standard screws.
Q: Is the delay time adjustable continuously or in steps?
A: The delay time is continuously adjustable using the onboard potentiometer. You can set it to any duration between approximately 5 seconds and 300 seconds.
Q: Does this come with headers pre-soldered?
A: No, the module typically ships without pre-soldered headers to allow flexibility in wiring. You will need to solder your own wires or header pins to the three connection points.
Q: Will this work with a Raspberry Pi GPIO?
A: Yes, it is compatible with Raspberry Pi. Since the output is 3.3V TTL, it connects safely to the GPIO pins. Just ensure you connect the VCC to the 5V pin for stable operation.
Q: What is the maximum current this module can output directly?
A: The output pin provides a 3.3V TTL signal and should not be used to drive high-current loads directly. Please use a relay or transistor circuit to control devices like motors or high-power lights.
Q: Can this sensor detect motion through glass or plastic?
A: No, the PIR sensor cannot detect infrared radiation through solid materials like glass or thick plastic. The lens must have a direct line of sight to the moving object.
