Works well but magnet distance matters
Functionality is great, but you need to be precise about the gap between the sensor and the magnet. Once I adjusted the mounting bracket to get the gap under 5mm, it worked perfectly every time.

Great for university projects
Used this for my final year engineering project involving wheel rotation counting. It was easy to interface with Raspberry Pi GPIO pins. Highly recommended for students.

Good value, clear instructions needed
The sensor itself is high quality and responds instantly to magnets. I deducted one star because there were no printed instructions included, but a quick search online provided all the wiring diagrams I needed.

Perfect for Arduino RPM projects
This module works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. I used it to measure the speed of a small DC motor, and the readings were consistent and stable. The LED indicator is very helpful for debugging the magnetic trigger point.

Reliable industrial prototype component
Bought five of these for a prototype conveyor belt counter. They have been running continuously for two weeks without any false triggers. The build quality of the PCB is solid.
Q: How do I adjust the sensitivity of the detection?
A: This specific 3144 model does not have an adjustable potentiometer. Sensitivity is determined by the strength of the magnet and the physical distance between the magnet and the sensor face.
Q: Is the magnet included in the package?
A: No, the magnet is not included. You will need to provide your own permanent magnet to trigger the Hall effect sensor.
Q: Does this module output an analog voltage or a digital signal?
A: This module outputs a digital signal. It acts as a switch that goes LOW when a magnetic field is detected and HIGH otherwise.
Q: Can I use this with a 3.3V microcontroller like ESP32?
A: Yes, while the module is rated for 5V, it generally functions correctly at 3.3V logic levels. However, for optimal stability and LED brightness, 5V operation is recommended with a level shifter if necessary.
