Perfect for my weather station project
This module works flawlessly with my Arduino setup. The serial output is clean and easy to parse. Both the light sensor and the BME280 provide accurate readings compared to my calibrated instruments.

High precision as advertised

Excellent beginner sensor module

Easy integration

Solid performance for plant monitoring
Using this to automate my greenhouse lights and fans. The temperature and humidity accuracy is spot on. Would love if it came with header pins pre-soldered, but that's a minor issue.

Great value, minor wiring confusion
The sensors are high quality and respond quickly. I deducted one star because the pinout diagram on the back was slightly faint, but once wired correctly, it performs excellently.
Q: How do I calibrate the humidity sensor if it reads high?
A: The BME280 is factory calibrated. If readings seem off, ensure the sensor has been powered on for at least 5 minutes to stabilize. Persistent offsets may require software correction in your code based on a reference meter.
Q: Is the enclosure waterproof for outdoor use?
A: No, the PCB is not waterproof and does not come with an enclosure. For outdoor applications, you must house it in a suitable weatherproof case while ensuring the sensors have air exposure.
Q: What is the default baud rate for the serial output?
A: The factory default baud rate is 9600 bps. You can change this via software commands if your project requires a different speed.
Q: Can I power this directly from a 5V USB source?
A: Yes, the module includes an onboard voltage regulator and accepts input voltages between 3.3V and 5V, making it safe to connect directly to a 5V USB power supply.
Q: Does this module support I2C communication or only Serial?
A: This specific GY-39 model is configured for UART Serial communication by default. While the individual chips support I2C, the onboard circuitry routes them to the TX/RX pins for serial output.
