Great value for money
Good sensor for the price. It took a little bit of calibration to get the noise levels down, but once configured, it provides accurate attitude data. Shipping was fast.

Solid performance
I have used MPU6050 before, and this 6500 version seems to have slightly better noise characteristics. Works great with Raspberry Pi and Python libraries.

Good for prototyping
We bought five of these for our university lab. Four worked immediately, one needed a re-solder on the pins. Overall good quality for educational purposes.

Perfect for my custom quadcopter
This sensor module works flawlessly with my flight controller. The data output is stable and the I2C connection was easy to set up with Arduino. Highly recommended for DIY drone projects.
Q: What is the return policy if the sensor is DOA?
A: We offer a 30-day replacement guarantee for any defective units. Please contact our support team with your order number and a brief description of the issue.
Q: Is this module compatible with 5V Arduino boards?
A: Yes, the module includes a voltage regulator and level shifters, making it safe to use with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers like the Arduino Uno.
Q: Does this come with header pins soldered?
A: No, the module is shipped without header pins soldered to allow for flexible mounting options. You will need to solder them yourself or use jumper wires directly.
Q: Can I use SPI instead of I2C?
A: Yes, the MPU-6500 supports both interfaces. You need to connect the AD0 pin appropriately and adjust your code to initialize the SPI bus instead of I2C.
Q: What library do you recommend for reading data?
A: For Arduino, the 'MPU6050' library by Electronic Cats or 'Adafruit_MPU6050' works well even with the MPU-6500 chip as they share similar register maps. For Python, try 'mpu6050-raspberrypi'.
