Perfect for DIY Flight Controllers
This sensor module works flawlessly with my custom drone project. The fusion of the MPU9250 and BMP280 provides stable altitude and orientation data. Setup was straightforward using standard I2C libraries.

Solid performance
The module arrived well-packaged. Data rates are high enough for real-time applications. Only giving 4 stars because the pin headers were not included, so I had to solder my own.

Easy to use with Arduino
As a beginner, I found this module very easy to connect to my Arduino Uno. Plenty of example code available online. It's a great way to learn about IMUs and environmental sensing.

Reliable data output
I've integrated this into a weather station and a balancing robot. The pressure readings from the BMP280 are consistent, and the gyro data is smooth. Highly recommended for embedded systems.

Great value, minor calibration needed
Excellent sensor for the price. The magnetometer required some calibration to get accurate compass readings, but once tuned, it performs very well. Good build quality on the PCB.
Q: What library do you recommend for reading the BMP280 data?
A: We recommend the Adafruit BMP280 library or the SparkFun BMP280 library, both of which are widely supported and easy to implement.
Q: Is the magnetometer affected by nearby motors?
A: Like all magnetometers, the AK8963 chip can be influenced by strong magnetic fields from motors. We recommend physical separation and software calibration to mitigate interference.
Q: Does this come with pre-soldered header pins?
A: No, the module is shipped without header pins to allow flexibility in mounting. You will need to solder your own headers or connect via wires.
Q: Is this module compatible with 5V logic levels?
A: Yes, the module includes a voltage regulator and level shifters, making it safe to use with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers like Arduino Uno.
Q: Can I use SPI instead of I2C for faster data rates?
A: Yes, the MPU-9250 supports both I2C and SPI interfaces. You can configure the module for SPI by adjusting the connections according to the datasheet.
