Solid build quality
Bought ten of these for our workshop. All of them worked out of the box. The PCB looks clean and the soldering points are well-defined.

Stable readings over time
Been running this in a greenhouse monitoring system for three weeks. The data is consistent and hasn't drifted. Highly recommend for long-term logging.

Perfect for Arduino Projects
This sensor works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The library support is excellent, and reading lux values was straightforward. Great value for the price.

Good accuracy, easy setup
Used this to automate my living room lights based on ambient light. It responds quickly to changes. Only minor issue is the pin headers weren't pre-soldered, but that's expected.

Great for beginners
I was worried about the I2C protocol being too hard, but there are tons of tutorials online. This module made my first sensor project a success.

Exactly what I needed
Compact size fits perfectly inside my weatherproof enclosure. The range is sufficient for both indoor and outdoor shaded applications.
Q: Does this module work with 5V logic levels directly?
A: Yes, the GY-302 board includes a voltage regulator and level shifting, so it can safely interface with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers.
Q: What is the default I2C address for this sensor?
A: The default I2C address is typically 0x23. However, some variations allow changing the address to 0x5C by modifying the ADDR pin connection.
Q: Can this measure direct sunlight accurately?
A: While the sensor can read high values, direct intense sunlight may exceed the optimal linear range or saturate the sensor. It is best suited for ambient indoor or shaded outdoor lighting.
Q: Is there a library available for ESP32?
A: Absolutely. You can use the standard 'BH1750' library available in the Arduino Library Manager, which is fully compatible with the ESP32 platform.
Q: Are the pin headers included in the package?
A: Yes, a strip of male pin headers is included in the package, but you will need to solder them onto the board yourself.
