Excellent compatibility
Works perfectly with Raspberry Pi and standard Python libraries. The noise levels are low enough for most hobbyist applications without complex filtering.

Perfect for my drone project

Reliable 9-axis solution
I have used several MPU variants, and the 9255 is very reliable. The integration of the compass on the same die simplifies the PCB design significantly. Fast shipping too.

Good value but needs calibration
The hardware quality is solid for the price. Just remember that the magnetometer requires careful calibration before use to get accurate heading data. Once calibrated, it works great.

Compact and lightweight
Very small form factor which is perfect for my micro quadcopter. The only downside is that the pin headers were not included, so I had to solder them myself.
Q: Does this come with example code for ESP32?
A: We do not include physical code sheets, but there are numerous open-source libraries available on GitHub specifically for the MPU-9255 that support the ESP32 platform.
Q: What is the update rate of the gyroscope?
A: The gyro sampling rate can be configured via software, typically ranging from 4Hz up to 8kHz depending on your specific settings and filter configurations.
Q: Are the mounting holes standard size?
A: Yes, the four corner mounting holes are designed for standard M2 screws, allowing for easy installation into most chassis frames.
Q: Can I use this underwater?
A: No, this sensor module is not waterproof. It must be housed in a sealed enclosure if you intend to use it in wet or underwater environments.
