Perfect drop-in replacement for SCA60C
I needed a sensor to replace an old SCA60C in a robotics project, and this GY-25A worked flawlessly. The serial output is stable, and the angle calculations are very precise even with slight vibrations.

Reliable industrial grade performance
Used this for a solar tracker application. It maintains its zero point well over temperature changes. The analog output option is also a nice backup if the serial line gets noisy.

Solid performance for static tilt
Works great for static inclination detection. Note that like most MEMS sensors, it is not suitable for measuring dynamic acceleration during high-speed movement, but for tilt detection, it is perfect.

Great accuracy, easy to integrate
The dual-axis measurement is accurate enough for my stabilizer gimbal. Integration with Arduino was straightforward using the TX/RX pins. Only minor issue is the pin spacing which required a custom adapter.

Excellent value for money
For the price, you cannot beat the precision. I compared it against a much more expensive inclinometer, and the readings were nearly identical. Highly recommended for DIY projects.

A: Yes, the GY-25A operates on a voltage range of 3.3V to 5V, so it can be connected directly to 3.3V microcontrollers without level shifters.
Q: What is the default baud rate for the serial output?
A: The default baud rate is typically 9600 bps, but it can be configured to other standard rates like 19200 or 115200 via specific command strings found in the datasheet.
Q: How do I calibrate the zero point?
A: Place the sensor on a perfectly flat surface and send the calibration command via serial terminal. The specific command sequence is detailed in the user manual included with the product.
Q: Is there a library available for ESP32?
A: While we do not provide an official library, many users have successfully implemented it using standard Serial communication libraries on ESP32 by parsing the ASCII string output.
Q: Can this measure 360-degree rotation?
A: No, this is a dual-axis inclination sensor designed for tilt measurement within a range of -90 to +90 degrees. It is not a gyroscope and cannot measure continuous 360-degree rotation.
