Reliable for platform leveling projects
Used this on a camera gimbal prototype. The response time is quick enough for real-time adjustments, and the noise level on the analog pins is surprisingly low even without heavy filtering.

Excellent documentation support
As a student, I appreciated how straightforward the datasheet was. The transition from analog to serial mode is clearly explained. Worked right out of the box with my Raspberry Pi project.

Solid build quality
The PCB feels robust and the soldering points are clean. It handles vibration well in my test rig. Would prefer if it came with mounting headers included, but that's a minor issue.

Perfect replacement for old SCA60C modules
I needed a drop-in replacement for some legacy industrial equipment using the SCA60C. The GY-25A fit perfectly and the analog output voltage curve matches exactly what was expected. Calibration was minimal.

Best value for high precision tilt sensing
Compared to other modules in this price range, the accuracy is unmatched. The temperature drift seems negligible for indoor applications. Highly recommended for anyone needing precise inclination data.

Great precision, easy to interface
The dual-axis reading is very stable. I used the serial output with an Arduino Mega and got consistent data within 0.1 degrees. Only giving 4 stars because the pin spacing is slightly tight for standard breadboards without jumper wires.
Q: Can this sensor operate at 3.3V logic levels?
A: Yes, the GY-25A supports an operating voltage range of 3.3V to 5V DC, making it compatible with both 3.3V and 5V microcontrollers.
Q: Is the serial output protocol UART or I2C?
A: The serial output on the GY-25A uses a TTL UART interface. It does not support I2C communication.
Q: Can I use this outdoors in rainy conditions?
A: The bare PCB module is not waterproof. If you plan to use it outdoors, you must enclose it in a weatherproof housing to protect the electronics from moisture and dust.
Q: What is the update rate of the sensor data?
A: The typical data update rate is approximately 50Hz to 100Hz depending on whether you are reading the analog voltage or polling the serial port.
Q: Does this module require external calibration before use?
A: The module comes pre-calibrated from the factory. However, for extreme precision applications, you can perform a software offset calibration in your code based on your specific mounting orientation.
