Good performance, clear documentation
The free resources mentioned in the description were actually helpful. The datasheet is clear, and the sample code got me up and running in under an hour. Minus one star only because the connector pins are a bit tight.

Perfect for DIY Home Automation
This sensor module works flawlessly with my Arduino project. The gesture recognition is surprisingly accurate even in moderate lighting conditions. Setup was easy using the provided library examples.

Best sensor in this price range
We bought ten of these for our university lab. Students find them very intuitive to program. The RGB sensing capability adds a nice bonus feature for ambient light projects.

Excellent I2C Integration
Integrated this into a custom PCB design without issues. The I2C communication is stable, and the interrupt pin helps save processing power by only triggering when motion is detected.

Great value but needs calibration
The hardware quality is solid for the price. I had to tweak the sensitivity thresholds in the code to prevent false positives, but once calibrated, it detects all 9 gestures reliably.

Reliable and Fast
Using this for a contactless menu selector. The response time is incredibly fast, making the user experience smooth. Highly recommend for anyone building touchless interfaces.
Q: Can this sensor detect gestures through glass or plastic?
A: It depends on the material thickness and opacity. Thin, clear plastic or glass may work, but opaque materials will block the infrared signals required for gesture detection.
Q: Is there a Python library available for Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, there are several open-source Python libraries available on GitHub that support I2C communication with this sensor on Raspberry Pi. You can find links in the product documentation section.
Q: Does this module work directly with 5V Arduino boards without a logic level converter?
A: Yes, the module supports an operating voltage range of 3.3V to 5V, so it can be connected directly to 5V Arduino boards like the Uno or Mega.
Q: What is the maximum distance for reliable gesture detection?
A: The optimal detection range is between 2cm and 15cm. Beyond 15cm, the accuracy decreases significantly depending on ambient light conditions.
Q: Does the package include jumper wires?
A: No, the package includes only the sensor module. Jumper wires and headers need to be purchased separately if you do not already have them.
