Perfect for automatic lighting
I replaced several PIR sensors with these LD016 modules. They detect motion through thin plastic covers which PIRs couldn't do. The adjustable delay time prevents the lights from flickering off too soon.

Excellent sensitivity and range
This radar module works flawlessly for my smart home project. The ability to adjust the detection distance via the host software is a game changer. It ignores my ceiling fan but picks up human motion instantly.

Great value, minor setup learning curve

Compact and powerful
Small form factor makes it easy to hide in fixtures. The UART interface integrates easily with my ESP32 controller. Detection is accurate and false alarms are non-existent so far.

Best radar sensor I've tested
I have tried three different brands, and this LD016 is the most reliable. The host software provides granular control over parameters. Shipping was fast and packaging protected the components well.

Solid performance for the price
Works well for presence detection. I appreciate that it can distinguish between static presence and movement depending on how you tune it. Only wish the antenna cable was slightly longer.
