Great for student projects
Bought five of these for a university robotics class. Students found them easy to wire up. One unit had a slightly noisy signal, but the other four were perfect. Good bulk pricing.

Perfect for touchless projects
This radar module works exactly as described. The hand sweep detection is very responsive and the serial output makes it easy to integrate with my Arduino project. Great sensitivity adjustment.

Reliable near-field trigger
I used this to replace a physical button on a kitchen appliance. The non-contact feature is hygienic and the module has been running 24/7 without issues. Highly recommended for IoT devs.

Compact and powerful
The form factor is incredibly small which helped fit it into a tight enclosure. Detection is consistent even with different hand sizes. The IO output option is a nice bonus.

Exceeded expectations
I was skeptical about the 10GHz performance at this price point, but it delivers. The wave trigger is smooth and false positives are minimal if mounted correctly. Will buy again.

Good value but needs calibration
Solid sensor for the price. It took a little time to tune the potentiometer for the exact range I wanted, but once set, it ignores background motion well. Documentation could be slightly better.
Q: Can this sensor detect motion through plastic or glass?
A: Yes, the 10G radar waves can penetrate non-metallic materials like thin plastic or glass, allowing the sensor to be hidden behind a panel for a seamless look.
Q: Does this module emit continuous waves or pulses?
A: The LD102 utilizes Continuous Wave (CW) Doppler radar technology to detect movement based on frequency shifts caused by hand sweeping motions.
Q: Is there a library available for ESP32 integration?
A: While we do not provide an official library, the UART protocol is standard. Many users have shared open-source ESP32 examples on GitHub that work seamlessly with the LD102.
Q: How do I adjust the detection distance?
A: There is a small trimmer potentiometer on the back of the module. Rotating it clockwise increases the range, while counter-clockwise decreases it. Use a non-conductive screwdriver for adjustment.
Q: What is the logic level of the GPIO output?
A: The GPIO output operates at 3.3V logic levels. If you are connecting to a 5V microcontroller, please use a logic level converter to ensure safe operation.
