Perfect for my Arduino robot project
This sensor module worked flawlessly right out of the box. I used it to detect obstacles in my line-following robot, and the response time is incredibly fast. The 38kHz filtering effectively ignores ambient light interference.

Easy to interface
As someone new to electronics, I found this very easy to connect to my breadboard. The logic level output works directly with my 5V board without needing extra components. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Reliable communication module
I am using two of these for bidirectional data transmission between two microcontrollers. The signal integrity is solid, and I haven't experienced any dropped packets during testing. Highly recommended for DIY comms.

Good range, sensitive to direct sunlight
Indoors, this sensor is fantastic with a great range. Outdoors in direct sunlight, the range drops significantly, which is expected for IR technology but worth noting for outdoor robot applications.

Great value, clear documentation needed
The hardware quality is excellent for the price. It picks up signals from standard TV remotes easily. I deducted one star because the pinout diagram on the packaging was slightly faded, but a quick web search solved that.

Consistent performance
Bought a pack of five for a classroom workshop. All units performed consistently with identical sensitivity ranges. Students were able to get their IR remote decoders working within minutes of connecting them.

A: Absolutely. The operating voltage range is 2.7V to 5.5V, making it fully compatible with both 3.3V and 5V microcontroller systems without level shifters.
Q: Can this sensor receive signals from a standard TV remote control?
A: Yes, this module is tuned to 38kHz, which is the standard carrier frequency for most consumer IR remote controls, including those for TVs and air conditioners.
