Solid budget option
We bought ten of these for our workshop. Most work perfectly out of the box. One had a slightly loose pin, but we fixed it easily. Good bulk buy for education.

Decent but limited range
Works as described, but keep in mind the humidity range starts at 20%. If you need to measure very dry environments, look elsewhere. Otherwise, it's a solid little sensor.

Good for basic monitoring
I use this to monitor humidity in my small greenhouse setup. It's not lab-grade accurate, but for the cost, it gives me a good general idea of the conditions. Easy to code for.

Great for school projects
Bought this for a university IoT project. The library support is excellent, and I had it up and running in minutes. The indicator light is a nice touch for debugging.
Q: What is the length of the included Dupont lines?
A: The included Dupont jumper wires are approximately 20cm (8 inches) long, suitable for breadboard connections.
Q: Does it require an external resistor?
A: No, this breakout module already includes the necessary pull-up resistor on the board, so you can connect it directly to your microcontroller.
Q: How often can I read data from the sensor?
A: The DHT11 has a sampling rate of 1Hz, meaning you should wait at least 1 second between readings to ensure accurate data retrieval.
Q: Can this sensor be used outdoors?
A: The module itself is not waterproof. For outdoor use, you must house it in a weatherproof enclosure while ensuring air can reach the sensor vents.
Q: Is this compatible with Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, the DHT11 module is fully compatible with Raspberry Pi models using Python libraries like Adafruit_DHT or CircuitPython.
