Great value, small footprint
Compact and reliable. The Gravity connector is a nice touch for quick prototyping without soldering. Only giving 4 stars because the included header pins were slightly bent upon arrival, but easily fixed.

Perfect for weather stations
This sensor works flawlessly with my Arduino Uno. The library provided by DFRobot makes integration incredibly easy. I'm getting stable pressure and temperature readings within minutes of setup.

Accurate and fast

Solid choice for ESP32
Works well with ESP32 over I2C. The documentation could be slightly more detailed regarding SPI mode, but the I2C examples are perfect. Good build quality.

Reliable DFRobot quality
Another great module from DFRobot. The PCB layout is clean, and the sensor reads consistently even with minor temperature fluctuations. Will buy again for future builds.
Q: Is the 5V input safe for the sensor chip?
A: Yes, the module includes a voltage regulator and level shifter, so you can safely connect it to either 3.3V or 5V logic systems without damaging the BMP280 chip.
Q: Is this module compatible with Raspberry Pi?
A: Yes, the BMP280 module is fully compatible with Raspberry Pi using the I2C interface. You will need to enable I2C in the Raspberry Pi configuration settings.
Q: Can this measure altitude accurately?
A: Yes, by measuring atmospheric pressure, the sensor can calculate altitude. Accuracy depends on local weather conditions, but it is generally precise enough for hobbyist altimeters and drones.
Q: Does this come with a library for MicroPython?
A: While our primary libraries are for Arduino and C++, the BMP280 is a standard sensor and many open-source MicroPython libraries are available online that support this specific chip.
Q: What is the maximum cable length for the Gravity connector?
A: For I2C communication, we recommend keeping the cable length under 30cm to ensure signal integrity. For longer distances, an I2C extender or buffer is recommended.
