Perfect for my smart glove project
The sensor responds very smoothly to bending. The included STM32 code worked out of the box and saved me hours of calibration time. Highly recommended for hobbyists.

Works well with Arduino too
Even though I'm using an Arduino Uno instead of STM32, the principles in the example code translated easily. The sensor is thin and fits nicely into fabric gloves.

Good sensitivity, needs calibration
Great build quality and flexible material. You do need to calibrate the analog readings for your specific application, but the example code provides a solid starting point.

Excellent documentation
Sometimes hardware comes with terrible docs, but not this one. The wiring diagram and the logic for converting resistance to bend angle were clear and easy to implement.

Fast shipping and great product
Arrived quickly and well-packaged. The flex sensor has a linear response curve which makes mapping values to servo motors very straightforward.
Q: Is the example code available for Python?
A: The primary examples are in C/C++ for Arduino and STM32 environments. However, since it outputs an analog signal, you can easily read it using Python on a Raspberry Pi with an ADC.
Q: Do I need any additional components to connect this?
A: You will need a pull-down or pull-up resistor (usually 10kΩ) to create a voltage divider circuit unless your breakout board already includes one. The schematic in the download link details this.
Q: Can this sensor be used with a 3.3V microcontroller?
A: Yes, this module operates comfortably within the 3.3V to 5V range, making it compatible with most 3.3V logic boards like the STM32 or ESP32.
Q: How durable is the sensor if bent repeatedly?
A: The sensor is designed for thousands of bend cycles. For maximum longevity, we recommend avoiding bending it tighter than the specified 10mm radius.
Q: What is the length of the conductive part?
A: The total length of the module is 80mm, with the active resistive element spanning approximately 70mm of that length.
