Good range, easy to integrate
The detection range is accurate up to about 4 meters which is plenty for reverse parking. Integration was straightforward using the provided pinout diagram. One star off because the mounting brackets are sold separately.
Q: Can this module be directly connected to a 12V car battery?
A: No, the AJ-SR04M K operates at 5V DC. You must use a voltage regulator or step-down converter if connecting to a 12V automotive system to prevent damage.
Q: Is the output signal compatible with Raspberry Pi GPIO?
A: Yes, but since the Raspberry Pi GPIO is 3.3V logic and the sensor outputs 5V square waves, we recommend using a logic level converter to ensure safe operation.
Q: What is the exact distance between the two ultrasonic heads?
A: The center-to-center distance between the dual transducers is approximately 25mm, optimized for standard vehicle bumper installations.
