Reliable in all weather
I installed this on my garden cart to avoid hitting walls. It has survived rain, snow, and direct sunlight without any issues. The IP67 rating is no joke. Great build quality.

Perfect for my DIY parking sensor project

Great for obstacle avoidance robots

Works as described
Solid performance for a parking radar application. The response time is quick enough for real-time feedback. Just make sure your microcontroller can handle the square wave frequency correctly.

Good range, easy to integrate
The detection range is accurate up to about 4 meters which is plenty for reverse parking. Integration was straightforward using the provided pinout diagram. One star off because the mounting brackets are sold separately.
Q: Can this module be directly connected to a 12V car battery?
A: No, the AJ-SR04M K operates at 5V DC. You must use a voltage regulator or step-down converter if connecting to a 12V automotive system to prevent damage.
Q: Is the output signal compatible with Raspberry Pi GPIO?
A: Yes, but since the Raspberry Pi GPIO is 3.3V logic and the sensor outputs 5V square waves, we recommend using a logic level converter to ensure safe operation.
Q: What is the exact distance between the two ultrasonic heads?
A: The center-to-center distance between the dual transducers is approximately 25mm, optimized for standard vehicle bumper installations.
Q: How do I clean the sensor if it gets muddy?
A: Due to its IP67 waterproof rating, you can simply rinse the sensor face with water or wipe it gently with a soft cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical solvents.
Q: Does this come with wiring harnesses included?
A: The package includes the sensor module and a short pigtail connector. Extended wiring harnesses are available separately in our accessories section.
