Finally, no more sliding during performances!
As a professional double bassist, I've struggled with my instrument sliding on polished stage floors. This pad is a game-changer. It grips the floor perfectly without damaging it, and the bass stays put even during vigorous playing.

Perfect size for double bass
I was worried it might be too small, but the dimensions are perfect for the base of a double bass endpin. It doesn't curl at the edges either, which is a nice touch.

Protects my floor too
Not only does it keep my cello stable, but I also feel better knowing it protects my hardwood practice room floor from any potential scratches from the endpin.

Essential for orchestra pits
Orchestra pits often have slippery surfaces. This mat gives me the confidence to play without worrying about my instrument moving. It rolls up nicely and fits in my case pocket.

Great quality, slightly heavy
The material feels very durable and provides excellent stability for my cello. My only minor complaint is that it adds a bit of weight to my gig bag, but the trade-off for safety is worth it.

Good value for money
Does exactly what it says. Stops the slide effectively. I deducted one star because it took a day to flatten out completely after unrolling it from the package.
Q: Will this work on a carpeted surface?
A: Yes, the textured rubber provides grip on both hard surfaces and low-pile carpets, though it is primarily designed for hard floors like wood or tile.
Q: Is there a strong rubber smell when first opened?
A: There may be a mild rubber odor upon unpacking, which is normal. It typically dissipates within 24 hours of airing out.
Q: Can I cut this mat to a smaller size if needed?
A: While the mat can be cut with heavy-duty scissors, we recommend using it at full size to ensure maximum stability for large instruments like the double bass.
Q: Is this suitable for outdoor performances on concrete?
A: Yes, the high-density rubber works well on concrete. However, please ensure the surface is clean and dry for optimal grip.
Q: Does this come with a carrying case?
A: It includes a simple Velcro strap to keep it rolled up tightly for transport, but a hard-shell case is not included.
