Perfect for my boutique tags
These gourd-shaped pins are exactly what I needed for my clothing store. They hold the hangtags securely without damaging the fabric, and the black color looks very professional against all types of garments.

Sturdy and reliable
Great quality metal. The spring mechanism is strong enough to keep tags attached during shipping but easy enough for customers to remove. Only giving 4 stars because the box was slightly dented on arrival, but the pins inside were fine.

Better than plastic alternatives
I switched from plastic barb tags to these metal safety pins, and the difference is night and day. They feel more secure and premium. The gourd shape makes them very easy to handle when attaching tags quickly.

Good value for money
You get a lot of pins for the price. They work well for standard cotton and polyester fabrics. I haven't tested them on very thick denim yet, but for general use, they are excellent.

Sleek black finish
The matte black finish doesn't chip easily and looks much nicer than silver pins on dark clothing. No rust issues after storing them in my workshop for a few months.
Q: Will these pins leave holes in delicate silk fabrics?
A: While these pins are designed to be smooth, any piercing pin has the potential to leave a microscopic mark on extremely delicate fabrics like pure silk. We recommend testing on a hidden seam first or using adhesive tags for very fragile materials.
Q: Are these pins reusable after removing the tag?
A: Yes, absolutely. The spring-loaded mechanism is durable and allows the pins to be opened and closed multiple times without losing tension, making them fully reusable.
Q: What is the maximum thickness of fabric these can penetrate?
A: These pins work best on light to medium-weight fabrics. They can penetrate layers up to approximately 3-4mm thick, such as double-layer denim or a jacket lining, but may struggle with very heavy leather or thick canvas.
Q: Is the coating safe for direct contact with skin?
A: Yes, the black coating is non-toxic and safe for incidental skin contact. However, these are intended for securing tags to clothing, not for use as decorative brooches worn directly against sensitive skin for extended periods.
Q: Do you offer these in silver or gold colors?
A: Currently, this specific gourd-shaped model is only available in black. We do have standard straight safety pins in silver and gold finishes if you would like to check those listings.
