Best investment for digitizing archives
I have hundreds of rolls to process and this tool has been a lifesaver. It is fast, precise, and the enclosed blade gives me peace of mind regarding safety. The cuts are clean enough for archival storage sleeves.

Solid performance
Does exactly what it says on the box. The blade is sharp and the mechanism is smooth. I deducted one star only because the USB cable included is a bit short, but that's a minor issue.

No more jagged edges!
I used to use scissors which always left uneven edges that messed up my scanner holders. This Huige cutter provides professional results instantly. The automatic stop feature prevents me from cutting into the next frame accidentally.

Essential for medium format shooters
Cutting 120 film manually is always risky. This device handles both 35mm and 120 formats effortlessly. The light is bright enough to see dust spots too, which is a nice bonus before scanning.

Great tool, minor learning curve
The build quality is excellent and feels very sturdy. It took me a few tries to get the alignment perfect on 120 film, but once I got the hang of it, it works like a charm. The battery life is also impressive.

Perfect for my darkroom workflow
This cutter has saved me so much time. The LED backlight makes it incredibly easy to see the frame lines on old negatives, and the cuts are perfectly straight every time. Highly recommended for anyone scanning their own film.
Q: Can I replace the blade if it gets dull over time?
A: The blade is designed for long-term durability. However, replacement blades are available as an accessory part number HC-BL-02 on our website if needed after extensive use.
Q: What happens if I try to cut a film strip that is already mounted in a sleeve?
A: You should always remove the film from protective sleeves before using the cutter. Attempting to cut through plastic sleeves may damage the blade and result in uneven cuts.
Q: Is the LED light bright enough to use in a fully lit room?
A: While the LED is optimized for low-light environments to enhance contrast, it is sufficiently bright to be useful in normal indoor lighting conditions as well.
Q: Does this cutter work with expired film stocks?
A: Yes, the cutter works based on physical dimensions, so it handles expired 135 and 120 film just as well as fresh stock. The backlight helps visualize faint frame lines on older emulsions.
