Lovely colors, wish volumes were larger
The colors are true to the photos. 5ml goes pretty fast if you use a wet pen like I do, but it's perfect for testing. 'Manatsuyu' has a unique teal hue that shines in sunlight.

Perfect way to try the whole collection
I wanted to test all the Shikiori colors before committing to full bottles. These 5ml decants are generous enough to fill my converter multiple times. The 'Yozakura' pink is absolutely stunning!

Great variety, minor packaging issue
The ink quality is top-notch as expected from Sailor. One of the vials leaked slightly during shipping, but the seller resolved it quickly. The 'Tsuki-yo' blue-grey is my new favorite.

Vibrant and smooth
These inks flow beautifully in my Pilot Custom 823. No shading issues or clogging. Having 24 colors allows me to match my ink to my mood every day. Highly recommended for sample seekers.

Excellent value for a sampler set
Buying individual samples would have cost much more. This set offers incredible value. The labels are clear, and the colors range from subtle pastels to deep, rich tones.

A joy for journaling
I use these for my bullet journal and the variety keeps things interesting. The ink dries reasonably fast and doesn't bleed through my Tomoe River paper. A must-have for ink enthusiasts.
Q: Is the plastic vial reusable?
A: Yes, the plastic vials are durable and can be washed and reused for other samples or travel purposes, provided they are thoroughly cleaned and dried first.
Q: How long will 5ml last in average usage?
A: For an average fountain pen user writing daily, 5ml typically lasts between 2 to 4 weeks depending on the nib size and how wet your pen writes.
Q: Can I mix these colors together?
A: While you physically can mix them, we generally advise against mixing different ink brands or even different lines within a brand to prevent chemical reactions that could clog your pen. Stick to one color per cleaning cycle.
Q: Do these inks contain shimmer or sheen?
A: The standard Sailor Shikiori line is primarily dye-based and does not contain shimmer particles. However, many colors exhibit beautiful sheen (a secondary color appearing at the edges) on absorbent paper.
Q: Are these decants compatible with cartridge converters?
A: Yes, these 5ml vials come with a small dropper that makes it easy to fill standard international cartridge converters or to use with an eyedropper fill method.
