Great durability under heat

These bushings handle the thermal expansion in our die-casting operations very well. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the lead time was slightly longer than expected, but the quality makes up for it.

Q: What is the recommended shaft hardness when pairing with this sleeve?

A: We recommend a shaft hardness of at least 50 HRC to prevent galling and ensure optimal wear life for the graphite-copper composite material.

Q: How does the oil impregnation work over time? Does it run out?

A: The porous graphite structure acts as a reservoir. As friction generates heat, microscopic amounts of oil are released to the surface. Once the machine cools, the oil is re-absorbed. This cycle continues for the life of the part under normal operating conditions.

Q: Do you offer custom sizes if our mold design requires non-standard dimensions?
