Good flow, dries quickly
The ink flows smoothly without blotting. I use it for signing documents and occasional sutra copying. The only reason for 4 stars is that the cap can be a bit tight sometimes.

Decent but runs out fast
The writing experience is smooth and the strokes look natural. However, if you write heavily or do large scripts, the ink depletes faster than a standard gel pen.

Great for meditation writing
I use this specifically for copying sutras as a form of meditation. The consistent ink flow helps maintain focus, and the soft tip reduces hand fatigue during long sessions.

Better than expected
As someone who usually uses fountain pens, I was skeptical. However, this pen mimics a real brush incredibly well. Perfect for daily practice sessions.

Perfect for beginners in calligraphy
I bought this to practice small regular script and it works wonderfully. The tip is soft enough to create natural brush strokes but firm enough to control easily. Great value for the price.

Excellent for large regular script
I was surprised by how well this handles larger characters. The pressure sensitivity allows for beautiful thick and thin lines. It feels very elegant in the hand.
Q: Is this pen suitable for left-handed writers?
A: Yes, the water-based ink dries relatively quickly, which helps prevent smudging for left-handed users. We recommend testing on your specific paper type for best results.
Q: What kind of paper works best with this pen?
A: For the best brush stroke definition and to prevent bleeding, we recommend using dedicated calligraphy paper, rice paper, or high-quality marker paper.
Q: Is the tip durable enough for daily practice?
A: Yes, the synthetic brush tip is engineered to retain its shape even after extended daily use, provided the cap is replaced immediately after use to prevent drying.
Q: Can I refill this pen with my own ink?
A: No, the STA Brush Pen is designed as a disposable unit and cannot be refilled. Once the ink is depleted, the entire pen should be replaced.
Q: Does the ink fade over time?
A: The pigment-based black ink is designed to be archival quality and resistant to fading under normal storage conditions.
