Good product but needs tuning
The part itself is solid metal and well-made. However, I had to recalibrate my E-steps and temperature profiles after installation. Not exactly plug-and-play for beginners, but works great once dialed in.

Durable and reliable
I've put about 2kg of filament through this already with zero issues. The titanium construction feels incredibly durable. It's definitely worth the investment if you plan on doing serious engineering prints.

Sleek look and performance
Love the red color match with my printer mods. Performance-wise, it maintains temperature very consistently. Only giving 4 stars because the included nozzle was slightly different than what I expected, but standard ones fit fine.

No more PTFE degradation
Finally got rid of the PTFE liner inside the hotend. This allows me to print ABS at higher temperatures safely. The thermal conductivity seems improved compared to the stock brass setup.

Great quality, tight fit
The build quality is excellent and the red anodizing looks sharp. It was a bit tight fitting into the heater block initially, but once seated, it works flawlessly. Highly recommend for anyone upgrading their hotend.

Perfect upgrade for high-temp filaments
This titanium throat tube is a game changer. I switched from printing PLA to Nylon and the all-metal design handles the heat without any clogging issues. Installation on my Ender-3 V2 took less than 15 minutes.
Q: What is the maximum safe operating temperature?
A: The all-metal design supports continuous operation up to 300°C. Please ensure your thermistor and heater cartridge are also rated for these temperatures.
Q: Does this come with a silicone sock?
A: No, this package includes the extruder head assembly, one nozzle, and mounting screws. A silicone sock is sold separately but is highly recommended for temperature stability.
Q: Do I need to update my firmware after installing this?
A: Generally, no firmware update is required. However, you may need to adjust your slicer settings for temperature and retraction due to the change in thermal characteristics.
Q: Is this compatible with the original Ender-3, not just the V2?
A: Yes, the Red Lizard V5 Pro is fully compatible with the original Ender-3, Ender-3 Pro, and Ender-3 V2 as they share the same hotend mounting structure.
Q: Can I use this with abrasive filaments like Carbon Fiber?
A: While the titanium throat is durable, we recommend using a hardened steel nozzle alongside this extruder head when printing abrasive materials to prevent wear on the nozzle tip.
