Best value hotend upgrade

For the price, you cannot beat this combination. The brass block conducts heat evenly, and the 80W element handles 24V systems with ease. My layer adhesion has improved significantly.

Easy to install for beginners

Reliable thermistor included

Perfect upgrade for high-flow printing

This kit transformed my old printer. The 80W cartridge heats up incredibly fast, and the Super Volcano block allows me to print at much higher speeds without clogging. Installation was straightforward with clear wiring instructions.

Great performance, needs careful tuning

The heating power is excellent for ABS and Nylon. However, because it heats so quickly, I had to adjust my PID settings to prevent overshooting. Once tuned, it works flawlessly.

Solid build quality

The machining on the heating block is precise, and the threads are clean. It fits standard M6 nozzles perfectly. Only giving 4 stars because the silicone sock is not included in this specific bundle.

Q: How long is the wire lead on the heater cartridge?

A: The heater cartridge wires are approximately 30cm (12 inches) long, which is sufficient for most standard Cartesian 3D printer configurations without needing extensions.

Q: Can I use this setup for printing Polycarbonate (PC)?

A: While the heater can reach the necessary temperatures, the brass Super Volcano block may degrade faster with highly abrasive filaments or extremely high temps over long periods. For occasional PC printing, it is suitable, but consider a hardened steel nozzle.

Q: Is this compatible with a Creality Ender 3 running a 24V motherboard?

A: Yes, this heater cartridge is dual voltage (12V/24V). As long as your Ender 3 has been upgraded to a 24V power supply and mainboard, this will work perfectly.

Q: What is the resistance value of the included thermistor at 25°C?

A: The 104GT-2 thermistor has a nominal resistance of 100kΩ at 25°C. Please ensure your firmware is configured for a 100k NTC thermistor (typically table 1 or generic 100k).

Q: Does the package include thermal paste or screws?

A: The package includes the heater cartridge, thermistor, and heating block. Thermal paste and mounting screws are usually reused from your existing hotend assembly, but we recommend applying fresh thermal paste during installation.
