Excellent thermal performance
Switched to this for printing high-temperature materials. The copper distributes heat very evenly. No issues with the PT100 sensor fitting into the designated hole.

Works as expected
Does exactly what it says. Installation was straightforward. Only giving 4 stars because the included screws were slightly softer than I expected, but the block itself is great.

Good quality, tight tolerances
The machining quality is very high. It was a bit tight getting the thermistor in initially, but once seated, it holds well. Great value for the price compared to OEM parts.

Perfect fit for my V6 upgrade
This copper heater block fits perfectly on my E3D V6 clone. The thermal conductivity seems excellent, and my temperature stability has improved slightly since switching from the stock aluminum block.

Great for high-temp filaments
Using this with Polycarbonate and it handles the heat beautifully. The copper mass helps maintain consistent temps during fast prints. Highly recommend for V6 users.

Solid replacement part
My old heater block got stripped threads. This Mellow replacement solved the issue immediately. Threads are clean and the nozzle seals without any leaks.
Q: Is this compatible with the standard E3D V6 brass nozzles?
A: Yes, this heater block features standard M6 threading and is fully compatible with all standard E3D V6 nozzles, including brass, steel, and hardened steel variants.
Q: Does this come with a thermal paste or screw set?
A: The package includes a small set of mounting screws. We recommend applying your own high-temperature thermal paste to the thermistor and heater cartridge for optimal performance, though some users reuse existing paste if in good condition.
Q: Can I use a cartridge heater instead of the resistor wire?
A: This block is designed primarily for the standard 5mm x 25mm cartridge heater or resistor wire commonly used in V6 hotends. Please ensure your heating element dimensions match the bore size before installation.
Q: What is the advantage of copper over aluminum for this part?
A: Copper has higher thermal conductivity than aluminum, which allows for faster heat transfer and more uniform temperature distribution across the block, potentially improving print consistency with demanding materials.
