5 FAQ
Q: Is this compatible with a 24V power supply?
A: Yes, this kit supports both 12V and 24V systems. Please ensure you select the correct voltage jumper setting on the board if applicable, though the heater cartridge is often dual voltage rated.
Q: What is the length of the thermistor wires?
A: The thermistor and heater cartridge wires are approximately 30cm long, which is sufficient for most Cartesian 3D printer builds without needing extensions.
Q: Can I use this with PETG filament?
A: Absolutely. This hotend is designed to handle all common filaments including PLA, PETG, ABS, and TPU, provided you adjust your temperature settings accordingly.
Q: Does it come with multiple nozzle sizes?
A: The standard kit includes one pre-installed 0.4mm nozzle. Additional nozzles of various sizes (0.2mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm) are sold separately but are fully compatible with this heat block.
Q: Do I need to recalibrate my E-steps after installing?
A: Generally, no. Since this is a direct replacement for the hotend assembly and does not change the extruder gear mechanism, your E-steps should remain accurate. However, always run a test print to verify flow rate.
